The A-Hole Plumber aka Best Man For The Job
Sometimes the best person to perform a job isn’t always the nicest one or the one you would want to be friends with.
If your kitchen has a major leak that you must repair immediately, or it will flood your kitchen and ruin your flooring, who will you hire to do the job? You have two choices:
The first guy is a bit crude and obnoxious, and has no manners to speak of, but he’s the most competent plumber in the entire county. He has a couple decades of experience and his record is flawless. He takes pride in making sure his work is always the best it can be, and he’s fast and fair in his pricing, though it isn’t inexpensive. You know if you have him fix it, it will be taken care of quickly and it will stay fixed.
The other guy is the nicest guy in town. He’s funny and fun to be around. He’s not a terrible plumber, but he’s not careful, and he’s not detailed. He’s also never encountered the type of emergency leak you are currently experiencing. It’s highly likely that if he attempts to make the repair, that he will actually damage your pipes further and cause your entire house to be flooded causing irreversible damage to your home and furnishings.
In this example, it’s pretty clear who you’re going to hire.
So why do some people fail to apply the same critical thinking skills when choosing our President? I would assert that they aren’t being intellectually honest with themselves – they know they are being lied to, and they’re not willing to make the effort to verify the truth. Believing the lies is easier and more comfortable than accepting some harsh circumstantial realities, or acknowledging sinful life choices.
For the record, I don’t think Trump is anywhere near as bad as the fictional a-hole plumber depicted above. Most of the people that know him best have nothing but amazing words of praise for his character. But even if you don’t like his mean tweets, is it worth destroying your entire house?
And I would characterize Harris and the rest of the Biden regime not as incompetent, but rather as intentionally destructive. They would take glee in destroying your house on purpose. Actually, that’s exactly what they’ve been doing the last 3 1/2 years, and during the Obama-nation before the Lord that we lived under for the eight years prior to Trump’s first term.
I believe God is not finished with America yet … if we repent and turn back to him (2 Chr 7:14).
Let’s put the best man for the job back in office next month!
